This Privacy Policy describes how CalicoCal ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the CalicoCal mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide and improve the Service:

• Account information: Your email address, used to create and authenticate your account via Supabase.
• User ID: A unique identifier assigned to your account upon registration.
• Calendar content: Event titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations, and other details you create within the app.
• Photos and files: Images and files you voluntarily upload as event attachments or gallery photos.
• Usage data: Basic technical information such as device type and app version, used to diagnose issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your CalicoCal account.
• To store and display your calendar events and shared content.
• To enable event sharing and collaboration with other users you invite.
• To respond to support requests.
• To improve app functionality and fix bugs.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes. Your data may be shared only in these limited circumstances:

• With other users you invite: Event details are visible to users you explicitly share events with.
• Service providers: We use Supabase (supabase.com) to store data securely. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is bound by their own privacy and security policies.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with row-level security (RLS) enforced at the database level, meaning you can only access your own data and data explicitly shared with you. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

Uploaded files are stored in Supabase Storage. We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Tracking and Analytics

CalicoCal does not use any advertising networks, cross-app tracking, or fingerprinting. We do not share your data with data brokers or ad networks.

6. Children's Privacy

CalicoCal is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Export your data in a portable format.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
